We had a great meeting, with guests from the Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF), President, Elizabeth Russell and Director of Grants, Colleen Guida. We are THRILLED to announce that WEF has awarded us TWO very generous grants:

One, to support curriculum engagement with the Greenwood Garden. Much thanks to 3rd grade teacher, Andrea Braham and the PTO's Garden Chair, Sara Carpenter for leading this grant request!
And, the other, a huge $2500 grant to support our purchase of pioneering technology, Google Expeditions. Much thanks to PTO VP, Laura Hubert for initiating this grant, and to Deb Collura for her engaged support!

WEF S.T. A.R. nominations will be extended a couple more days. So if you are considering one, please get it in early this week!
