I want to thank parents and students for sharing their Learn Anywhere experiences with teachers and me. On Wednesday, January 10, 2018 I will host a Principal Coffee at 8:30 a.m. to share our Standards-Based Report Card System. Parents have found this information helpful to better understand how their children are being assessed against state standards and what information they can expect to learn about their children with this report card.
The superintendent will conduct a parent/community forum for all parents at Galvin Middle School on Thursday, January 11 at 7 p.m. to share our mid-year “state of the schools” report and to solicit parent/community feedback in advance of developing the FY18 district budget.
Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year will take place during a two-week period beginning Monday, January 22, 2018 and ending Friday, February 2, 2018. All registrations will take place at the the Superintendent’s Office at 60 Farm St. Letters will be going home to families January 10 with more information about registration requirements.
Parents of third and fourth grade students, please not the important MCAS dates below. It is important that students are in school each morning of MCAS. The ELA MCAS test is being administered during the last week of possible testing so that teachers and students have the maximum amount time possible for teaching and learning prior to students taking the test. Therefore, the make-up window is very short. I thank you in advance for your cooperation.
