From the Principal

You are capable of so much more than you can even imagine.

Dear Parents,

It it hard to believe the school year is coming to a close this week. This has been a bittersweet year for me and now it is really time to say farewell! I thank all of you for your kind words and well wishes in my retirement. As you know, I truly love our school community and have been honored to be the principal here for the past thirteen years. The Greenwood School is filled with caring families, amazing students, teachers, and staff members. I am so proud of our “little school” where excellent learning happens for our students each and every day! I will be forever grateful for the trust and support families have shown me during my tenure at the Greenwood School. I will miss my day to day interactions with the children, families, faculty and staff. It has been my honor and privilege to be part of the Wakefield Public Schools and know that the district and our school will continue to do great things!

Greenwood’s Got Talent Show will be held at 1:30 PM on June 18th.  Families are welcome to come and enjoy the show from the balcony!

Students in grades 1-3 will participate in our Move Up Day and meet their next teacher and classmates Tuesday morning. Report cards will be available online for you to access June 19th after 2:45 pm.

We invite our fourth grade families to join us for the grade 4 Walk of Fame at 11:50 AM June 19th as the students take their final walk through the halls of the Greenwood School.

The last day of school for grades 1 – 4 is Tuesday, June 19th and it will be an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 11:55 AM and no lunch will be served on this day.

I wish you and your children a wonderful summer!

Regards,
Deb Collura
