From the Principal: 1/6/20

Dear Greenwood Families,

Happy Monday!  While it may have seemed funny to return to school for just two days last week, it was actually quite a lovely “re-entry” for everyone to refresh themselves on routines and schedules after a long December break.  We’re ready to dive into this five-day week!

Back Parking Lot

The parking spaces in the back of the school are designated for Greenwood staff members and are not to be used for student drop-off or pick-up.  No cars should be pulling into the parking lot during these times as well. Please be sure anyone who does arrival or dismissal duty for your family is aware of this restriction.  Thanks!

Lost & Found Donation

Last call to reclaim your child’s missing items!  Anything that is left in the lost & found bin at the end of the day on Friday, January 10th will be donated.

All-School Meeting 1/16—4th Grade Student Leadership Team Hosting

On Thursday, January 16th, we will have our next All-School Meeting to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. before the holiday on the 20th.  Members of the 4th Grade Leadership Team will emcee and share during the meeting. We will start at 8:50am and be done by 9:25am.

Dogs on School Property

Since some households may have received a new furry friend over the holidays, this is just a reminder for everyone that there is a Wakefield School Committee policy stating that animals are not allowed on school property.  If you are at arrival or dismissal with a dog in tow, you must wait away from the school and not bring the dog onto the blacktop/playground area. This policy is for the safety and comfort of all of our students. Thank you for your attention to this!

Thank you for everything you do to support your children and their learning—let’s have a great week!
