Great Ways to Give Back this November

As Thanksgiving approaches, many of us pause to reflect on all that we have. It's a great time to also help others. There are several great opportunities for students to get involved in the community.

  • Candy drive: Children have until November 8 to donate Halloween candy to be included in care packages sent to our service men and women.
  • Food drive: A food drive benefiting the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry is taking place from November 6 - 15. See what foods interested children should bring.
  • Gently-worn coat donations: Ready to dig out your winter coats? Donate any you've outgrown or are replacing and earn a chance for up to $1,200 for our school. Read the details here.
  • Holiday gift donations: Some families find themselves wondering how they will provide holiday gifts for their children. To help, Wakefield runs a Holiday Shop from December 4 - 6 at the Civic Center in Wakefield. Learn more about shopping or donating to this worthwhile event.

Do you have a passion for community outreach? The PTO is currently seeking a chairperson to manage these activities. If you're interested, let us know at ptoboard@greenwoodpto.org!
