From the Principal

“Good character is not formed in a week or a month.  It is created little by little, day by day.  Protracted and patient effort is needed.”

— Heraclitus

Dear Parents,

We have a very busy week ahead!  Our grade 3 and 4 students will take the state ELA MCAS assessment beginning Thursday, April 27, and on Monday, May 1, and Tuesday, May 2. We ask that parents make every effort to have students arrive to school on time at 8:40 as testing will begin promptly at 9:00 AM each morning. If a student arrives after testing begins, the student will not be allowed to enter the classrooms and will have to make up the session.

Please note that Wednesday, April 26 is an early release day for teacher professional development. Students will be served lunch and released at 11:55 AM.

Spirit day will be Wednesday, April 26. Students are encouraged to show their school spirit by wearing a favorite (or crazy) hat!

The Scholastic Book Fair will begin this week and it's our students' favorite time to purchase books for summer reading as it is buy one, get one free!  Happy shopping. That class schedule can be viewed here.

Our grade 3 students will present what they have learned about acceptance at the All School Meeting on Friday, April 28 at 9:00 AM.

Have a wonderful week!

Regards,
Deb Collura
