Safety Summit  Wednesday, April 4, 7:00 PM @ Galvin Middle School.

I hope to see many of you at the Gator Gallop Saturday, April 7. This is an amazing, fun family and community event sponsored by the Greenwood PTO.  As you know, this is our one fundraiser event of the year. Money raised helps to enhance and  enrich the educational lives of our students and support our teachers. Money raised by our wonderful PTO help support field trips, books for our library, technology enhancements, classroom projects, author fest, cultural arts programs, to name a few!  We could not provide our students these opportunities without the generous support of our PTO. They work behind the scenes all year for this event. So put on your sneakers and run, walk, or just come out and support our students and families as they race to raise funds for our school!

International Night will take place at the Galvin Middle School Friday April 6th

Congratulations to our 4th grade students, parents and staff members that will be honored at the Celebration of Learning April 12! This wonderful celebration highlighting education excellence is sponsored by the Wakefield Education Foundation. The following students were nominated by their peers as students that best represent our school’s core values. Chloe Iosua, Max Jacob, Isabella Moore and Alex Colarusso.  Parent volunteers that have made significant contributions over the years to the Greenwood School Community are Nicole Jacob and Colleen Guida. Staff members being honored are Deb Duggan and Mary Doherty.

Have a great week!

Sometimes what we call "failure" is really just that necessary struggle called learning.

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe the holidays are here and a new year will be begin  in just a few short weeks!  On behalf of  the entire staff we want to wish all our Greenwood families a beautiful holiday season and a healthy and happy New Year! We are so fortunate to have such a thoughtful, caring community to support the work we do with your children. School will end for the winter break at 2:45 on December 22, 2017 and reopen Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

On Wednesday January 10, 2018 I will host a Principal Coffee at 8:30 am to share our Standards Based Report Card System. Parents have found this information helpful to better understand how their children are being assessed against state standards and what information you can expect to learn about your children with this report card.

The first report card will be entered into iPASS for parent/guardians to access on Friday, January 26 which will complete the first semester of school. All parents will need to be registered into iPASS in order to access report cards. I am attaching the link for families if you have not  completed the registration.
