AuthorFest is pleased to feature New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Brian Lies at the Greenwood School. Brian will speak to the first and second grade classes on April 11.
Please note that spring parent teacher conferences will be conducted on Wednesday March 29th and Wednesday April 5th. There will be an opportunity on Thursday evening April 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm for evening conferences.
The Gator Gallop's Student Pledge Drive comes to an end THIS MONDAY, March 20. Please return your child to school Monday, March 20 with the his/her pledge packet, containing the pledge money (s)he has collected and his/her registration form.
If you have yet done so, would you please send me in a current physical for your 4th grade child? This is a state requirement for admission to the 5th grade. Physicals done after June 1, 2016 are acceptable.
A reminder that Wednesday March 8th will be an early release day for students. Lunch will be served and students will be dismissed at 11:55. On March 17th there will be no school for students as teachers will participate in a full day of professional development.
If you're looking to get in some early morning exercise for you and your children, we have the perfect opportunity. Greenwood BOKS chairs are looking for 3 parents who can help Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings from 7:45 to 8:30 AM, April 24 - June 2.
Making Change for Literacy coin collection drive will take place from Monday, March 13 to Friday, April 14, marking the close of AuthorFest week. Together, we can raise $300 for the Room to Read program.
The Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF) is extremely grateful to the Greenwood community for your support of our hugely successful Chocolate Rose fundraiser. Greenwood sold just under 2000 roses.
Looking ahead, I want to remind parents of the upcoming professional development days this month... we rescheduled the presentation on our newly adopted writing curriculum and the role of the literacy coach to the Tuesday March 14th PTO meeting
Each box top is worth 10 cents, and together we raised over $600 for Greenwood School enrichment and programming! Mrs. Ricupero's class had the highest total, with 1414 box tops, and earned a pizza party.
