From the Principal: 4/25/22

Dear Greenwood Families,

Happy Monday and welcome back!  I hope that whatever your plans were over the week, you were able to spend time doing something fun, relaxing, and energizing!  It’s hard to believe that we’re on the verge of May - even though we always say that the second half of the school year flies by, it seems even more so this year.  It’s a good thing we all like to be busy!  Everyone at Greenwood is looking forward to welcoming our students back and diving into new units, projects, and adventures together.  We’re ready!

No School - Tuesday, April 26th

There is a professional development day for all WPS staff on Tuesday, April 26th.  This means there will be no school for students.  We know it’s strange timing coming back from break, however, the PD day was placed here to align with Wakefield’s election day due to the use of Galvin Middle School for townwide voting.

Greenwood Science Fair - Saturday, May 21st

In case you missed it…after a two year hiatus, Greenwood is excited for the return of the Greenwood School Science Fair! All students and families (K-4) are invited to participate. Start planning your experiment, investigation, or engineering design project. Projects will be done at home and presented at the Science Fair on Saturday, May 21st, 9-11am.

We ask that everyone who plans to participate please sign up using this form by April 29th, in order to be guaranteed a participation shirt. Click here for all of the details, guidelines, and resources to help you get started.

  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, when in combination with other symptoms

  • Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms

Our school nurse, Mrs. Doherty, is always happy to answer any questions you may have or provide clarification.
